This docent and self-guided tour will help guests experience Midway Magic aboard the historic USS Midway aircraft carrier! The Midway is a legendary aircraft carrier of extraordinary missions, accomplishments and contributions. Commissioned a week after the end of World War II, the USS Midway embarked on an unprecedented 47-year odyssey that set new standards in naval aviation, blazed new trails as the Navy''s first carrier homeported abroad (Japan), and developed a "Midway Magic" aura of accomplishment and vigilance. More than 225,000 Americans took part in the odyssey which ended after Midway served as the Persian Gulf flagship in Desert Storm. In addition to paying considerable tribute to the brave men and women who have served to protect this country''s shores, guests will see an unparalleled collection of historical memorabilia, aircraft on the flight deck, and breathtaking exhibits depicting famous naval battles. Guests will also be able to experience many activities of carrier life through state-of-the-art virtual reality technology. The USS Midway features more than 35 exhibits that bring the magic of naval aviation to life.

Tickets for these activities may be ordered in the Meeting Registration section of this site. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and may not be available for purchase on-site. Please wear comfortable walking shoes for these activities and dress appropriately for the weather.
