3:30pm   Opening Remarks by the Chair.

3:35pm   Global Alliance Agreements.  This panel will use a case study approach to review tax and commercial considerations where U.S. and European multinational corporations agree to access each others'' distribution channels and to pool R&D for the development of certain products. The case study will focus on the tax consequences of the arrangements in Belgium, Canada, Mexico and the United States.  Moderator: Jack Bernstein, Aird & Berlis LLP, Toronto, Canada.   Panelists: Scott D. 4:30pm   Latest European Developments of Interest to US Tax Practitioners.   This panel will discuss emerging issues under new European anti-abuse provisions and cross-border case law.
