Contemplative Lawyering:  Making Law Practice Less Stressful and More Meaningful
This presentation will demonstrate how contemplative practice can help lawyers learn to focus without distraction, listen and communicate with genuine empathy, and develop respect for themselves and others.  Contemplative practice also helps lawyers understand the roots of conflict as well as the roots of the emotions of conflict. With this understanding, lawyers can experience less stress in their work while at the same time providing increased benefit to their clients.  Speaker:  Professor Deborah A. Calloway, University of Connecticut School of Law, Hartford, CT.

Jointly Sponsored by:  Young Lawyers Forum, Diversity Committee and Pro Bono Committee
