8:55am             Selected Inter-Vivos Income Tax Issues Impacting Estate Planning.  The speaker will address the income tax considerations of various lifetime estate planning transactions.  Speaker:  Theodore B. Atlass, Atlass Professional Corporation, Denver, CO.

9:45am             Revenue Ruling 2006-26 – QTIP’ing an IRA.  The speaker will discuss this recent development and other matters concerning Qualified Plans and IRAs.  Speaker:  Marcia Chadwick Holt, Davis Graham & Stubbs, Denver, CO.

10:30am           Holding a Private Company in Trust. The speaker will examine the issues triggered by placing a private company into a trust.  Topics will include the family and financial requirements necessary for a successful outcome, the role of the corporate fiduciary, and the tax-related issues and opportunities.   The speaker will provide insight on strategies such as ESBTs vs. QSSTs, directed trusts and exoneration language under the Prudent Investor Act.
