The IRS has recently issued guidance concerning new determination letter procedures and will soon be issuing related additional guidance as well as a new Revenue Procedure concerning the IRS correction programs under EPCRS.  The agency is also in the process of redesigning and expanding its Compliance Unit to engage in better, targeted audits and to improve the IRS employee plans examination program.  All these recent developments will be reviewed with a panel of top-level IRS officials who will engage in dialogue with practitioners who are experts in the field.
